This stunning cottage is incredibly unique in an attractive village an 8 minute drive or train journey in to Ashford. The property comes with an abundance of character, with wooden beams running across the ceiling of the lounge and master bedroom. With a warming feel, you will find yourself at home in a quaint village and cosy home after a long day at work, albeit locally or in London, which can be less than an hour away on the Train! With the Hamstreet train station quite literally opposite, the ability to catch the train without having to leave home early, pay for parking and rush in the morning is a fantastic draw. Similarly, there is plenty of parking on the road outside of the property, so you won’t ever find yourself without a space to safely park your car.Set over 3 floors, both bedrooms are incredibly spacious and can accommodate even a family with more than one child due to its space. There are windows throughout the house that lets in light at all hours of the day. Most of the double glazed windows have been replaced by Anglian in 2010. The beautiful cottage style garden extends to the side of the house where you will find an alternative shingled patio. There is a vaulted outbuilding currently used as a utility room. For anyone wanting a project, it could make an ideal studio, study or perhaps even a guest suite. What the Owner says:
I had always fancied a cottage in the country. As soon as I set sight on this house, I knew it was the home for us. The house had so much character and whilst it needed work inside, the features were welcoming and homely and we knew this would be a happy home.Over the years, we have had a lot of work done to the property. We've exposed brickwork and uncovered woodwork to bring out the full character of our home whilst modernising the fittings and decor. We had a multi fuel burner installed in the lounge and this has been so cosy to sit around in the winter. It tends to heat the whole house up. In the summer, the lounge tends to stay nice and cool so it's a good retreat to get out of the sunshine.
