The Vendor's View

I was looking for a house in need of some renovation work in order to run a small B&B. This was a commercial property, offering a detached building and plenty of potential to create the home I wanted. I gained permission to turn it into a residential dwelling and proceeded to develop the house. However, achieving the right B&B layout proved too difficult so I decided to create a beautiful and welcoming family home.

During the renovation process I tried to retain the period features and feel of the house as much as possible, while adding modern elements such as a new kitchen and bi-fold doors out to the garden. I uncovered two hidden gems, the period fireplace and stove and they have become my favourite features.

The location is phenomenal, just one street away from the beach, so of course the house has some lovely sea views. Tankerton has a lot to offer with great restaurants, bars, cafes and pubs and it s an easy 15 minute walk into Whitstable, which has just about every type of shop or service imaginable.

Having thoroughly enjoyed my time in this beautiful and spacious home, I look forward to moving on to create my dream B&B.
