The Vendor's View

We bought this property as a new build when moving down from London, some 20 years ago now. We were attracted to the spacious plot and generous sizes of the rooms, along with the fact that the house was within easy walking distance of so many excellent schools for our children.
Our favourite room is probably the lounge/dining room, a large, light and airy space thanks to the windows on three sides. It s a space that is comfortable and cosy enough to enjoy alone reading a book, yet spacious enough to entertain in. We also really like the large garden where there is a great patio, ideal for barbecues with family and friends.
We loved the convenience of the location, especially the proximity to both of Canterbury s two train stations which allow access to London very quickly; the arrival of the HS1 service means that you can be in St. Pancras within an hour. From the house we are able to walk into Canterbury city centre, and we re just a stone s throw from several convenience stores and the Kent County Cricket Ground, which hosts a whole array of events from cricket matches to pop concerts!
We are now moving to be closer to our grandchildren, but we will miss everything about the house and location, the ability to walk into the city centre, and of course our lovely neighbours, It has been brilliant to have every luxury on our doorstep and be so close to the countryside and coast as well.
This has been a perfect family home in a lovely, convenient yet safe location; an ideal place to raise a family.
