The Vendor's View

We bought this house as a new property sixteen years ago. We really love the quiet location overlooking the creek in front of you as it gives a real feeling of serenity.
We enjoy sitting in the comfortable front room with a cup of tea, watching the wildlife and boats. There is always something different happening out in the creek, regardless of whether the tide is in or out. It is very peaceful here, and yet we are within easy reach of every amenity we could possibly need. It s a very special location.
We love Faversham and the ambience of the town with its historic streets and architecture. Everything is within walking distance, including a lovely little theatre, a widescreen cinema and indoor and outdoor swimming pools. There are two GP surgeries and a good post office, many independent shops, as well as three major supermarkets. The railway station with regular direct trains to London Victoria and St Pancras International, is only a short stroll away. There are good schools, including Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, which is one of the best in the country.
As the oldest market town in Kent, there are still markets three times a week Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Once a month we have an antiques market, which we enjoy visiting, and there are some wonderful festivals throughout the year, in particular the annual Hop Festival that takes place in August/September with fabulous music, food and drink. It s a lovely place to live and has a wonderful community feel.
We will miss many things about this house and we will be sad to move. We have enjoyed the location, being able to walk into town, and yet far enough away to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the house s waterfront position.
