Protecting your privacy and your personal data is an important aspect of the way the KM Group create, organise and implement our activities on and offline.

Where this privacy policy applies

This privacy policy only applies to KM Group's site http://www.kentonline.co.uk ("Kent Online"). It does not apply to sites or pages that are linked to Kent Online. You will generally be able to tell whether this privacy policy applies as there will be a link to this privacy policy on that page of the site. By your use of Kent Online and/or the submission of personal information to us, you consent to the use of your personal information on and subject to the terms of this privacy policy.

Information we collect about Kent Online users

Registration Information

You can access Kent Online and browse through certain parts of Kent Online without disclosing personal information. However, if you wish to use certain services offered on Kent Online or obtain certain information made available by Kent Online, you may be asked for information such as your name, email address, residential address and postcode.

If you choose not to provide the information that is requested, you may not be able to use the service which is being offered or obtain the information you seek. KM Group may also collect information that you provide as part of registrations, orders, surveys, contests and promotions and other communications with us. How your information is used

The personal information that you disclose to KM Group may be used to provide you with goods, services and features and to communicate with you. Such information may also be used for verification purposes, fulfilling orders, prizes, tracking compliance with the terms and conditions of use for Kent Online, compliance with applicable laws and the performance of legal obligations.

KM Group uses the information obtained from cookies for several purposes. Who we share information with

If you have entered competitions on Kent Online your name and address details will be passed to any competition sponsor or supplier of the prize for the purposes of sending you your prize only.

Except as specifically provided in this policy, KM Group will not disclose your individual, identifiable personal information without your prior consent except as may be permitted or required by any applicable law or legal process or to protect its officers, directors and employees, other users of Kent Online or the public.

KM Group does, however, share aggregate statistics, information and data about the users of Kent Online where no individual person can be identified with advertisers, business partners, sponsors, content providers and other third parties. Some services which are provided through or in connection with Kent Online may display your IP address. Please review the terms and conditions of use and the privacy policy for each service that you use on or in connection with Kent Online and only use those services that disclose the information you are willing to share.

Security

KM Group has implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information under its control from unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss or destruction or damage. However, KM Group cannot guarantee or insure the security of any information that is transmitted over the Internet or that loss, misuse or alteration of data so transmitted will not occur.

The personal information which you provide to KM Group is stored in secure databases on our servers. The security of your personal information is also your responsibility. We recommend that you do not provide any passwords to anyone. Nor does KM Group believe that you should provide any personal information while you are using the Internet if you are not comfortable in doing so. KM Group will never ask you for any of your passwords or any other personal information in an unsolicited telephone call.

You will be given the opportunity to opt in to receiving email communications, from the KM Group and from third parties.

Changing and deleting your personal information

You can find out what personal information KM Group has about you by sending an email to customerservices@kentonline.co.uk. Upon request, KM Group will provide you with a copy of the personal information which is kept about you.

You are entitled to change, update, amend and delete any personal information that KM Group has about you. Please keep in mind that this may mean you are unable to access and use certain services and information provided on Kent Online.
