Faversham


Faversham is a familiar name among beer lovers being home to Britain's oldest brewer, Shepherd Neame and the International Hop Festival which annually attracts tourists to the celebrate the hop harvest. The town centre and its picturesque medieval market square has retained the charm of this lively town which welcomes visitors with unusual shops, cosy cafés, inviting restaurants and old pubs. The town is also host to Classic Car and Motorcycle Show. Every spring, large numbers of exhibitors showcase the most beautiful classic cars in the south of England.

The town features a wonderful variety of listed buildings, for example Maison Dieu, the oldest village museum in the country, or Arden's House which became notorious for the murder of Thomas Arden in 1551. With so many ancient buildings it is easy to understand how Faversham retained its beauty by an array of private residences that encompass earliest medieval properties saved from demolition within the town centre, solid Edwardian houses with opulent original features and Victorian buildings evocating the prosperity of the town during the industrial revolution. 

In the past Faversham was one of Kent's leading ports, it's waters have been sailed for centuries, and the Creek today is a remnant of those busy times. The area has been re-modeled and stunning purpose built modern apartments reshape its ground overlooking this scenic area.

Faversham is located around 10 miles from Canterbury, and there is also good transport connections via the M2 and also the high speed train service, which means you can get into London in just over an hour.
